The best foam party of the year so far.

The water was calm this morning for the girls’ walk on the beach. They saw lots of dolphins. No sharks today!
We drove to Gulf Shores after lunchtime to have a foam party at The Hangout. It was a spectacular sight to behold. Afterward I broke off in Truckzilla to run some errands while everyone else went shopping for souvenirs.
Emmy got a bracelet and a necklace with a dolphin on it. Caelynn got a white, purple and blue visor and a necklace and a mermaid stuffy. I thought Kinsley also got a white, purple and blue visor and a necklace and a mermaid stuffy, but she corrected me: her visor was not a visor, it was a souvenir. Kinsley got a white, purple, and blue souvenir and a necklace and a mermaid stuffy.
We had appetizers and played beanbags and watched live music at Lulu’s before we headed back to our house for the evening. There was live music and Emmy was captivated by it.

We walked the beach around sunset. I said something about how pretty it would be to see the sun setting into the ocean. Beanie quickly corrected me again, “the sun is made of fire, the sun can’t go in the water.” It was really a silly thing for me to have said and I’m glad she didn’t let it go unchallenged.
We found a million shells, a sand flea, and some snails and sand dollars on the beach. Emmy and Caelynn wrote their names in the sand. As is often the case, Kinsley was much too busy to do such an inconsequential thing as writing her name where the waves will inevitably wash it away.

The end of vacation is approaching quickly, we head home tomorrow. We’re going to be very sure to enjoy every minute we have left!
