I had such a great birthday!

I had the best birthday party this year! We had green cake with golden floor coins on top. I blew out all the candles on my first try just barely.
It’s funny that I was born on the only day of the year that has a color–St. Patrick’s Day–but it happens to be the one color I can’t see very well. When people say things are green I sort of have to take their word for it, but my green cake was the best and the greenest green cake, I know that for sure.
The girls made Leprechaun traps. They were very nice Leprechaun traps; if I were a Leprechaun and I ended up in one of their traps, I wouldn’t mind it at all. Beanie’s trap even had a rainbow on it with colors that went crosswise instead of lengthwise. I’d never seen such a thing before. It blew my mind.
Emmy wasn’t home when I got there. She was at her end of the season hockey party with her friends and teammates, especially Ellie and Lucy. I had my end of season party last night. That was a cool coincidence. When she got home she gave me a big hug and a cool and creatively shaped birthday card.

Caelynn gave me the first card she’s ever given me that has her very own handwriting on it. It also had a big heart with a picture of “LYN CAEL” (Caelynn) and “LE UNC” (Uncle) on it. She’s experimenting with writing bottom-up instead of top-down right now. We’ll see where that goes. Regardless, I can’t believe how big she is getting.

Kinsley was way too busy to make a card. She was mostly tending to her horses in the living room. She was also sick with the cough-tooting virus that is going around. It was very sad and funny. She sent me a nice video card later that made me feel good.
She also gave me a great big hug when I left which is all that really matters.
For gifts I got sandals and some shorts for our trip to Gulf Shores next month which is going to be super fun!
Here’s to another successful year with the people I love more than anything else in the whole entire world! There is nobody on Earth I’d rather watch grow up as I grow old.
